Deer accident
I just pulled this off the WIBW site:
CLAY CENTER, Kan. (AP) _ A 51-year-old man is dead and another
motorist is injured in a head-on crash near Clay Center that started when one of the vehicles struck a deer.
The Highway Patrol said a car driven by Robert Laffery of Clay Center was northbound on K-15 at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday when it hit the deer and plowed into a truck driven by Delbert Rule of Linn.
Laffery died in the crash and the 61-year-old Rule was flown to Stormont Vail Hospital inTopeka for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Both men were wearing seatbelts.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Delbert and the Laffery family.
I don’t know Delbert but I hope that he comes through this okay. As for the Laffery family, I do know them very very well and my heart goes out to them. Jeff and Stephanie if you read this please let us know if we can do anything for you… love mike, christy, and chase
Dan, have you heard how Del is doing or what type of injuries he had? I’ll be praying for his recovery.
I know both families – My thoughts and prayers go out to them… Sad day…

Has anyone heard any reports on Delbert? I’ve heard rumors that he lost one leg and the other was in question? Anyone know?
I too would like to hear how Delbert is doing? If anyone knows, please let us know.
Delbert received walking casts last week so he thinks that he is really on the mend. He is talking already about going back to work. This was a report from his Mother I got this week. Delbert is a cousin of mine. many bones were broken in both legs and feet he has had surgeries after swelling went down. still a long haul through rehab. I am sure. but seems in good spirits.
