Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius will be leaving her post to head to Washington, DC, to be part of President Obama’s cabinet as Secretary of Health & Human Services. This means Lt. Governor Mark Parkinson, formerly a Republican, will become Kansas’ next governor.

The 150th anniversary of Washington City and Washington County will coincide with the Washington County Rodeo in 2010, in mid-June.
