Sports as inspiration
Many people know that if a “you have to watch this” video shows up in my inbox, I’ll delete it. I’m an inspirational video grinch.
But once in a while, I do find something worth forwarding so if you ever get that sort of email from me, you should know the video or story must be something worthwhile.
This video has nothing to do with anything local, but as much as I’ve railed lately on how there is more to life than sports, I do think this offers some saving grace for sports in life too. Check it out:
Okay. One more. I heard about this one on the radio and a blog reader sent me a link to the story. Also very good.

This is a good story Dan . Glad you put it up . It tells the kids that you do have a 2nd chance or a do over if you make a mistake in life .
Oh, Dan – that was GREAT!
I have e-mailed this to alot . And everyone likes it . Some if not all should get a 2nd and sometimes a 3rd chance sometimes to do a do over in life . God knows I have and you should not hold what someone did in the past as the person that stands befor you now right ? This goes for the kids and the old ones to .
Wow! That was incredible. I read this before and think it applies here….”kids make up 25% of the population but they are 100% of the future.” There are many troubled youth out there needing some sort of guidance. This video shows what an entire school family did to show love to these troubled teens. This coach should get some sort of national recognition for making this happen. It’s random acts of kindness like this that are inspirations to us all. Thanks for sharing, Dan.
wonderful segment to watch. thanks for sharing it.
everyone should watch this…..especially in the schools
Thanks Dan, I’m a crier-got a tissue?
It was GREAT, I will share it with some other criers I know
Have you seen the one from ESPN (?) about the Fire Capt. who coached B-Ball?
I added another video to this post that I heard about on the radio and a blog reader sent me a link. Check out “the best missed shot.”
