Just finished writing an editorial in support of the sales tax vote for the pool. And oddly enough, I just saw a Tweet that the sales tax in Lawrence is going from 7.3% to 7.85% tomorrow. Yikes.

What’s the deal? Why is it that so many of us are complaining about a $1 million pool for Washington, when Marysville is considering a $19.4 million sports complex, including an indoor pool and community center? Yes, Marysville is bigger, but they are not 19-times bigger than Washington.
