Hearing about this just makes me so sad. It makes me want to lock me and all my loved ones in a padded cell. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends involved with this. How sad.
Though I did not know the young man, I hear he was always one to act with friendliness and kindness, and perhaps tell a joke. My thoughts are with both families.
I did know the Luehrings and they were a very dear, thoughtful, and caring couple. One of their children died of cancer last month. My prayers go out to both of these families.
Eric was a good friend of mine. It tore my heart out when I found out what had happened. We were in school together since kindergarten. We were in scouts together. We were the best of friends.
James,
I’m so sorry for your loss and for all the people in Eric’s life that are feeling this pain. I hope that your wonderful memories of Eric help you during this time.

FOR EVERYONE THAT HAS LOST A CHILD, NO MATTER HOW GOD DECIDED TO TAKE HIM OR HER HOME, IS LIKE NO OTHER PAIN THERE IS. YOU TELL YOURSELF THAT GOD HAD HIS REASONS AND THAT THEIR LIFE WILL BE FILLED WITH NO PAIN OR SUFFERING. MY DEEPEST FEELINGS GO TO ALL OF HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS. BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THIS CHILD WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU IN YOUR HEART. JAN
