Any doubts that Washington citizens wanted to replaced their pool were squashed with tonight’s vote result. The 1% sales tax passed:
Yes – 292 votes
No – 139 votes
That is overwhelming and nobody should complain that the vote was too close for broad agreement.
Washington is a couple months away from the vote on a new pool for the community. I really haven’t heard anyone talk about it much around town. I suppose nobody is really thinking of swimming during the winter.
